I have loved music my entire life. I have rediscovered this love recently with the help of Periscope. Hidden away in the depths of Periscope is some amazing talent. Musicians, singers, singer songwriters, working tirelessly on their art.

Periscope is a way to interact with performers like never before. You can have a conversation. You can support artists you like.  You can experience the ups and downs with them. Hopefully, one day, you will be able to say you helped them reach their goals.

I have watched all of the following artists and recommend them 100%.  They are sooooo very talented.  Give them a listen when you have a few minutes to spare. There are apps for iOS and Android, linked from the top of their site.

If you want me to check someone out, or have feedback, send me a note on the contact page.

Mira Goto

http://pscp.tv/miragoto

Singer Songwriter from Santa Cruz and Nashville.  Mira scopes regularly with original songs as well as cover versions of a wide range of songs.  She used to be in a Queen cover band and loves Llamas.  Her music has a country feel to it and her voice sounds awesome accompanied by her Martin guitar.  My favorite songs include One Step Closer, Nobody Warned Me, and her cover of Burning House by Cam.  Mira is working on a new album.

Clare Means

Clare is singer songwriter who performs regularly at the Santa Monica Pier. She has a unique style that is warm and playful.  Clare plays mostly her own songs of which there are many as she has produced multiple albums including a kids album.  My favorite songs include To War, Voodoo Doll, and Billy the Bunny.

Amber Lynn

http://pscp.tv/amberlynnmusic

Amber Lynn is from Australia performing regularly.  I have only heard her perform cover versions. She definitely makes the songs her own though. She plays a Maton guitar which is an Australian brand. Amber Lynn has a gorgeous voice and a great sense of humor. My favorite songs include With or Without You by U2, and Dreams by Fleetwood Mac. Between sets you can expect to be put in a bag!

Mike Richards

http://pscp.tv/anotetwoself

DC singer songwriter plays guitar and has a fantastic voice and a rich sounding guitar. I have only heard Mike play cover versions and they all sound great. I especially like his version of Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd, and Billy Jean by Michael Jackson (and yes he can reach the high notes!)

Calvin Thomas

http://pscp.tv/calvinthomasmusic

Calvin is a singer songwriter from Maryland.  Calvin plays guitar and sings. Recently I heard him play Tal Bachman’s High Above Me and was blown away by how effortlessly he reached the high notes! He is also a good person to follow as he connects you with other talented artists.

Angels Piano

http://pscp.tv/angelspiano

A new discovery for me, but boy oh boy can she play the piano! Today I listened to her versions of Winds of Change by the Scorpions, Hotel California by the Eagles, and Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd.  They were simply amazing.

Nancy Malcun

http://pscp.tv/NantsInThePants

Another new discovery, Nancy is a South Jersey singer songwriter with a soft yet powerful voice. I have only heard one original song by Nancy so don’t have a good idea of her material. Nancy did a version of Katy Perry’s Chained to the Rhythm and it blows Katy’s version out of the water! It is almost as if it was written for Nancy and Katy covered it! Her cover of Beyoncé’s Crazy Love is awesome too.

Jessica Louise

http://pscp.tv/Jessica_Louise/

Jessica lives in California and performs late night serenades on Periscope. She has a very expressive voice and plays electric guitar. Her guitar playing on her Les Paul is sooo soothing, I could just listen to that for hours.  Jessica’s original Under My Skin from her Voices EP is as good as anything out there.

Rae Hering

Most recent discovery and while she will tease her viewers with chocolate chip cookies, she can get away with it by having a mesmerizing vocal range. She reminds me a lot of early Tori Amos especially on her Earthquake song. Rae does a show on Periscope every Sunday from her Nashville home.
